Gravatar 13.10.2017 Fontanafredda grundades 1858 av förste kungen av Italien, Vittorio Emanuele II. Han förälskade sig i lokala flickan Rosa och gav henne egendomen samtidigt som hon adlades till grevinna. Det bästa vingårdsläget på gården bär idag hennes namn – La Rosa – som ligger i sydvästsluttning, optimalt för druvan nebbiolo. Skörd skedde 2008 i början av oktober. Efter jäsning fick vinet mogna i en blandning av små och stora fat, och därefter i flaska. Nu, nästan 10 år efter skörd, bjuder det på nyanserad och komplex doft av moreller, nypon, rosor och fat. Smaken är lång frisk och stram med inslag av mörka körsbär, fat och mineral. Det passar utmärkt till höstens kött- och vilträtter eller en perfekt kokt pasta med skogens svamp.
