Red wine from wine district: Douro

Many wines from Douro which is famous for its port has much of the same tastes in it selves. The wine has a powerful and fruity taste which is long and intensive. It has not that heavy oak dominating that many Spanish wines have, but this vintage is a little bit difficult and it got a little more oaky than usual. It was only produced 3800 bottles this year. The price in here in Norway is as low as ca. $85 and I do think that is a good bargain. We drank this one with our traditional Christmas dinner of Pork ribs.
